The Cotswolds Distillery has just launched a small-batch gin collection
The Cotswolds Distillery launches its first wildflower gin. Cotswolds No.1 Wildflower Gin is a blend of cornflowers, lavender and orange, layered over the distillery’s classic London Dry gin. Inspired by the wildflowers growing in the grasslands of the Cotswolds, which is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. This collection has been created by marrying premium botanicals with the distilling and blending skills of the Cotswolds Distillery team.
“This full-strength gin is presented in a clear glass bottle with a beautiful label decorated with native British wildflowers, and celebrates the relaxing longer drink, and the Spritzer trend.” says Dan Szor, founder and CEO of The Cotswolds Distillery
Skillfully made with a London Dry base containing juniper, coriander and angelica root, and using just the ‘hearts’. It’s blended with essences of orange, lavender, cornflowers and rhubarb root resulting in a fragrant gin bursting with natural flavour. and delicate floral aromas of summer meadows. The distillery has a firm commitment to its local agricultural community and sustainability.
Nose – The subtle floral notes are reminiscent of summer meadows with fragrant orange blossom and soft piney juniper
Palate – Delicate, floral notes of lavender with sweet bursts of fresh orange Finish – Refreshingly clean and balanced with a pleasantly dry finish.
Delicious served as a spritzer with 50ml of No.1 Wildflower gin poured over ice in a copa glass, and topped up with premium tonic and a slice of orange – doesn’t that sound delicious and refreshing!
