Su France has studied silversmithing for the last sixteen years. It is something that she sees as an ongoing learning process, as her practices change and her work evolves.
Su’s photography and jewellery complement each other in many ways. Interweaving and connecting the beauty of the natural world with the textures and form of her work.
Living within rural Lincolnshire, she is inspired by the landscape around her, as well as the plants she grows with her husband in their garden. In fact, the botanical specimens she selects to cast, or photograph, are collected and curated from this space. Gathered in nearby woodlands, or long walks, where treasures fill pockets. She is always searching for exciting wonders to add to her collection.
